Pigeon Shit Canyon
If not for the name, you would probably think this was a nice and short route down a typical slot canyon with some nice water flow. Well, don’t let the name fool you, that is exactly what it is. This canyon gets its name from a small section where quite a few birds have chosen to nest in the craggs and caves in the canyon walls. Thus, there is a considerable amount of bird shit in a few spots. It does make the canyon feel a bit dirty and gross. Regardless, this is a good and simple route with a few short abseils up to about 10 meters. It also gets extremely narrow for about 20 yards, and features some stemming techniques commonly used in canyons found in the southwestern United States.
