Previously known as Cassidy Canyon, this is a short but deep slot canyon located on the south rim of West Clear Creek. It is a great introduction to the sport of canyoneering and features two technical drops, the first is around 25 feet and the second is a ~15 footer. There are several other downclimbs along the way which may be preferred to use a rope, especially the very first drop immediately above the first mandatory rappel. In the process, you get a great taste of the sport with relatively easy access and technical challenge. There is one section of narrows towards the end that gets extremely deep. There are some absolutely gorgeous hallways, enjoy them! Alas all to quickly the narrows subside and you are quickly at West Clear Creek. Make your way back upstream, then earn your adventure by hiking up and out back to your car.
